Our founder Oluwayomi Aoko vision to make Ageless Physical Rehabilitation Center Limited a world class healthcare group of companies in Nigeria was borne out of his education and experience over the years and the Vision to make highly specialized physical rehabilitation programs and associated healthcare training, equipment an consumables easily accessible to patients anywhere they are in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
He attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, Osun State, Nigeria and graduated in 1998, had his internship in Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, in 1999 and went for his NYSC in 2000 helping to set up the first physiotherapy clinic in Holy Family Joint Hospital, Ikom, Cross Rivers State, a strategically placed hospital offering healthcare services to a large population of patients in Cross Rivers State and border towns in Cameroun. He was eventually awarded the State Honors Award that year.
He attended University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia studying professional courses in Therapeutic Administration of Oxygen, Mulligan Concept of Upper and Lower Quarter Manipulative Therapy in Sydney, nationally recognized unit of competency in Advanced Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation and Senior First Aid Techniques from Australian Red Cross in Brisbane, Queensland, Specialized Physical Rehabilitation Programs for Diabetic, Cancer and Neurological conditions like Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Parkinson’s disease, Spinal Degenerative diseases, Traumatic Brain Injury in Singapore and Brisbane, Australia.
He was also trained as a Sports Trainer and Therapist in the management of sports injury by Sports Medicine Australia.
While in Australia he was opportune to work with community physiotherapy clinics and Australian football clubs like Mayne Tigers Club as club physiotherapist and the experience he garnered has helped in shaping the progress he has made over the years.
He came back to Nigeria in 2010 to make available his wealth of experience and Ageless Physical Rehabilitation Center was born with the setting up of its first branch of Ageless Physiotherapy Clinics in Ejigbo, Lagos. Over the years he has been able to weather the pitfalls faced by new startups moving the clinic from Ejigbo where the first center started to the new center at Ogundana Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja. Today, 2 other branches have been set up in Ajah and Lekki to cater to the inhabitants in Lagos Island.
His renewed vision is to be able to make his highly specialized physical rehabilitation programs available to every citizen of Nigeria wherever they maybe. His plan is to align with hospitals everywhere to help in delivering these programs to Nigerians anywhere they are.
Ageless Physiotherapy Clinic was awarded the Physiotherapy Services Provider of the Year, 2016 at the prestigious Oscar of healthcare award, the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award in June, 2016 and also in September 2016 awarded The African Quality Achievement Awards in our category.
He is a member of Australian Red Cross Society, Sports Medicine Australia, Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy, Global Positioning System in Health Research Network and a host of other reputable organizations.
He received his Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Lagos in 2018 and presently studying for his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology in University of Lagos , Lagos with Thesis focusing on the Epidemiology and Effects of Physical Inactivity Non-Communicable Diseases like Cardiovascular diseases, Obesity, Diabetes, Cancer, and Respiratory Diseases.
